This cutesy new mini-burger duo introduced by McDonald’s China last month is actually a high-concept affair: Serving chicken on the cuttlefish-ink-dyed bun alongside beef on a bleachy one is emblematic, apparently, of a Chinese idiom that describes a person who can do business and hang with both the government and organized-crime factions.
