Atwater Village fave Canele is about to get a new neighbor across the street. Atwater Village News reports a “Village Tavern” has applied for condition use permit for a 77 seat restaurant. The California ABC query system doesn’t show a permit filed, and the site was not previously a restaurant nor bar; looks like Atwater must wait a bit longer to join the rest of the world in hating the gastropub trend. 3216 Glendale Blvd. [Atwater Village News]
