Outside our city limits, we’ve seen a few regional restaurants (and plenty of Camarillo-based farms) flying their colors for the Romney-Ryan ticket. So it’s kind of refreshing to know which side Cafe del Rey stands on, though the Marina del Rey restaurant has opted for a slightly more subtle display. On election night, the place is offering six-dollar cocktails, including the tropical-themed “Barockin’ Bayonet” and a less lively bourbon drink called the “Not-So Radical Romney.” There’s also a a simple “270,” all three intended to drown your impending sense of doom if the incumbent loses or to celebrate if the dark side of the force is defeated. Either way, everyone appearing with an “I Voted” sticker gets a two-for-one deal, even if you’re a Kolob-worshipping teetotaler sporting magic underwear.
