Recently, City Sip and Sassafras both rigged spinning wheels in order to evoke the drunk gambler in every man. At City Sip, the giant spin the bottle getup will be spun daily by the house, resulting in free pours, free snacks, or BOGO offers. Do you feel lucky? City Sip’s Spin the Bottle may dare you to call your ex for a free glass of syrah. That sounds not as fun as the sixth grade version of the game everyone played.
At Sassafras, things are more Vegas. Bobby Green, the bar’s designer, tells KCET the odds at their bar are actually 60% in favor of the customer. Beware the price may double from twelve to 24 if your last name is Griswald.
