Earlier this week, chef Neal Fraser ripped the sheet off of Fritzi Dog, the new hot dog concept he helped to cook up at The Original Farmers Market. Today new evidence emerges that Fraser may have another super-specific comfort concept in the works, as a biography for BLD pastry chef, Mariah Swan, she of Grace’s incredible donuts and BLD’s spiked milkshakes, reveals that the two are in R&D; mode for a “new sister” concept called “ICDC, standing for “ice cream, donuts, and coffee” and “slotted to open early 2013.” This Saturday, Swan will take part in a panel called “The Girls are Baking,” a free event at the L.A. Public Library featuring Grace Bauer, “Sweet Lady” Jane Lockhart, and Valerie Gordon. Check out the full event announcement, complete with the ICDC cat jumping out of the bag, online.
