Taylor Swift Soothes Selena's Heart at Osteria La Buca; Justin Bieber Rekindles Romance at Benihana

If you're dying to know the latest on Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's stormy relationship (and we know you are), look no further than to L.A.'s restaurants, where all the ups and downs of this topsy-turvy love story were played out this week. On Friday, the two kiddie stars tried to solder their hearts back together by attempting a dinner date at Yamato. Sadly, this teppanyaki tete-a-tete was dashed by the time they made it to the parking lot. Gomez soothed her worries the next night with Taylor Swift, the Queen of Broken Hearts, with a girl's trip to Osteria La Buca. But alas, this didn't mean the two young lovers were "never ever getting back together," as Monday saw JBiebs and SelMez reunited at Benihana. Yes readers, another epic week of stars dining and aligning, sort of like Odysseus and Penelope, only with a lot more Japanese chain food. Read on for more in this week's celebrity settings and have a happy Thanksgiving. We'll see you back here on Monday.

DioNicEss Digs Up a Zombie Beer Dinner at Beachwood BBQ

Brains! And beer!Photo: Dionicess

For everyone who's more into jack-o-lanterns than jingle bells, DioNicEss is putting a dose of horror into your holiday season. On December 9, the beer-pairing pros present "DieN'Isis: A Zombie Apocalypse Survival Dinner Workshop" at Long Beach's Beachwood BBQ. Rule #1 in Zombieland should be to skip the suds and run to safety, but this installment of the food and drink series turns diners into stupefied, flesh-eating lunatics, not survivors. Beachwood chef Gabriel Gordon is cooking a five-course offal feast, with dishes like a trio of brains, a "Reanimation" course with something along the lines of a live octopus, and a final course called "Skeletal Remains."

Tyler Florence Coming to Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills seems like the perfect place for Tyler Florence to bring his square-jawed, soap-star good looks and healthy new cookbook, and next month the Food Network chef will do just that, appearing in town for a signing of his salute to late-eighties hip-hop Tyler Florence Fresh. On December 14, Ty-Flo will be at Williams Sonoma Beverly Hills at 6:00 P.M., shaking hands and signing books (and anything else you may want to put in his mitts). 339 N. Beverly Dr. Beverly Hills.

Cupcakes: Somehow we're still talking about them. On the heels of Georgetown Cupcake's arrival in 90210, L.A.'s original chic cup-cakery, Sprinkles, is opening a shop at The Grove on Friday, providing some saccharine fuel for Black Friday's fire. Founder Candace Nelson, who recently told us openings are "kind of like going through finals at school," will be on hand to cut the ribbon at 10:00 A.M. when the bakery will bestow five golden tickets to its customers, baked into random cupcakes, and granting such rewards as a $1,000 shopping spree at The Grove and a dozen Sprinkles cupcakes every month for a full year to two future fatsos.

Hostess Definitely Probably Still Dead

It looks like the Twinkie hoarding wasn't in vain as yesterday's eleventh-hour mediation talks went nowhere. Hostess is back in bankruptcy court as of this morning ironing out its liquidation plans. The company's 33 bakeries have already ceased operations, and 18,500 jobs are likely lost. A final official announcement is expected shortly. [Reuters, Earlier]

50 Pounds of Liquid Meth Uncovered in Tequila Bottles

Totally forgot to bring the limes

California Highway Patrol busted two sneaky mixologists on Monday after pulling over a car loaded with fifteen tequila bottles filled to the cap with 56 pounds of liquid methamphetamine. Yahoo! News reports the discovery was made in Fresno, where meth-infused cocktails are quickly overtaking Grey Goose and Red Bull. Cops stopped the Oregon duo on this popular drug-trafficking route and brought out the K-9 unit after noticing both "acting nervously." Valued at over a half-million dollars, the seized contraband confirms theories that liquid meth is increasingly becoming Mexican narco-traffickers' favored form of distributing the drug, with a police spokesperson warning, "At this level of amount, it is going to be distributed all over the place. Once it gets to the final form...it's going to be disseminated throughout the country." Anyway, this sorta puts your bottles of over-proof blanco and scorpion-spiked añejo to shame.
