Last night a fire caused structural damage and the hospitalization of one employee at the Studio City location of Du-Par’s, L.A.’s ancient 24-hour diner founded in The Original Farmer’s Market. 51 firefighters arrived on the scene and subdued the blaze, which mainly affected an exterior storage area, though smoke sullied the kitchen and an upstairs office, while sending one employee to the hospital. The fire’s start is currently under investigation and the restaurant, famous as the location where David Lynch conceived Twin Peaks, remains closed until it passes an inspection by the Health Department.
