Everyone figured Adam Fleischman and Anthony Carron’s flash-fired pizza spot, 800 Degrees, would turn into an empire after the very first taste in Westwood. Today, Fleischman’s people announce that he isn’t going to let some of these concept-jacking punks hone in on his territory, spreading the word that 800 Degrees will open a much larger location with 120 seats in Downtown Santa Monica this fall.

In addition to the restaurant’s design-them-yourselves, assembly-line Neapolitan pizzas, the next 800 Degrees will also have hot and cold sandwiches using baked pizza dough as the bread in a stand-alone deli, along with essential private parking for this Wilshire and 2nd Street space. Apparently, the Umami owner was just laying in the cut this whole time in order to get the sequel right.
