Mark Peel Reviving Campanile's Grilled Cheese Nights at 3Twenty, March 14-April 4
Thanks to the brave new era of freewheeling chefs snapping the customary binds of restaurant hierarchies, we're seeing glimmers of hope that Campanile is eventually coming back in full force, despite the closure of this La Brea legend in 2012 after 23 years. Now chef-owner Mark Peel is bringing back one of the restaurant's favorite traditions by re-igniting his Thursday Grilled Cheese Nights at 3Twenty Wine Lounge.
From March 14 to April 4, Peel and Campanile chef de cuisine Christopher Eddy will take over evenings at the space, preparing some of the restaurant's best regarded grilled cheese sandwiches (yes, there will be Reubens) with wine pairings from 3Twenty sommelier Edgar Poureshagh.
Peel's Grilled Cheese Nights were always guaranteed to be slammed with Campanile regulars, meaning reservations are an assumed must for this short stint at 323-932-9500. See the full planned menu below.
