Torrance's L'Amande French Bakery & Cafe is setting up shop in Beverly Hills. The Gallic pastry maker and boulangerie has leased a former Radio Shack on Santa Monica Boulevard between Camden and Rodeo to bring its crossaints, breads, quiches, and croque madames to a 2019-square-foot location with an al fresco patio in June. Le Pain Quotidien is likely its closest rival, just one block to the west and staring daggers at the South Bay newcomer. 9530 South Santa Monica Blvd.
