All that orbits in the realms of Georges Perrier and his former flagship Le Bec Fin never fails to both amaze and perplex. In the latest turn, Perrier has relinquished control of Art of Bread, the cafe and bakery he opened in Narberth back in June 2011. The Insider, whose author Michael Klein celebrates 20 years as the Inquirer’s “Table Talk” columnist today, reports that Amin Bitar, who runs his family’s business Bitar’s in South Philly as well as some suburban office complex commissaries, is now running the operation. And he plans to boost the wholesale side of the operation by adding a large baking facility in DelCo. [Insider]
