Brooklyn’s All-Pierogi Restaurant Just Opened — Here’s a Look at the Food

Much-anticipated Baba’s Pierogies opened in Gowanus this weekend, and New Yorkers lined up to get a taste of the Eastern-European specialties. The restaurant had an hour-long wait for flavors like bacon-and-cheese, sauerkraut, and jalapeño, which all sell for $10 to $12. Owners (and first-time restaurateurs!) Helena Fabiankovic and Robert Gardner might need to start planning a second location so they can keep up with the demand for their “cushy grandma vibe.” Take a look:
