For the fourth episode of his Raw Craft video series, Anthony Bourdain heads to Olympia, Washington, to see how cult knife-maker Bob Kramer plies his trade. Kramer, who works with meteorite and is just one of 122 certified blade-masters in the country today, is the guy whose $200-an-inch (at least), very sharp kitchen knives are used by acclaimed chefs including Mario Batali, Charlie Palmer, and Thomas Keller. To find out just why these coveted knives are so expensive, Bourdain joins him in his studio as he forges, cuts, and sharpens meteorite into an onion-slicing machine. Knowledge is dropped, sparks fly, fish is cooked. Check it out.
